Hostel

CDL Group of Institutions provide separate hostel facilities for both male and female students with an accommodation capacity of 100 students. The hostel offers excellent lodging and boarding facilities to cater to the needs of both male and female students. The hostel has full furnished rooms with mess facilities along with recreation room, well equipped with T.V, Fridge, Music system and Newspaper.

Every hostel is supervised by a warden and a faculty-in-charge, who ensures that utmost care is taken to provide the best amenities to the students.

A wide range of cultural, athletic and social activities are conducted for the merriment of the students. In addition to the various campus hubs of interaction, the common rooms in every hostel are popular for everyday get-togethers.

Boys Hostel

Hostel Rules for boys:

  • Every student joining Ch. Devi Lal College of Ayurveda, who wishes to reside in the hostel shall be assigned a seat in the Hostel as and when available on the recommendation of the admission committee in the consultation with the Principal of the College and Warden of the Hostel.
  • No student shall keep any unauthorized person in his room. If a student is found having a person in his room. He will be liable to summary expulsion.
  • The student must show his Hostel fee receipt to the warden before admission to the hostel.
  • Residents are responsible for the loss or damages to electrical fittings in their rooms and thee furniture
  • Students guilty of wrong use of Electricity will be fined up to 500/- in addition to the cost of repair and incident will be reported to higher authorities for several disciplinary action.
  • Each hostel has mess for all students which shall be under the control of the warden. He may punish them for their negligence and indiscipline etc. by time or otherwise or order them to leave the Hostel.
  • The Gates provided to the hostel be locked at 10:00 PM.
  • A student expelled from the Hostel shall not be admitted in the hostel again.
  • Electric stoves, room heaters or electrical appliances etc. of heavy electric consumption are not allowed to be ceased.
  • Any student found in possession of or heavy used alcoholic drinks, addicting or hallucinogenic drug will be expelled from the hostel.
  • Students are required to pay their mess/ contractors bill by 10th of every month positively. Failing which, they will be suspended from the classes.
  • Girls students will not be allowed to stay in Residents room.
  • In the event of Mischief/foul play or accident etc. the warden/hostel Supdt. Can break open the room for investigation.
  • Residents are strictly forbidden to utilize hostel servant as private servants or to strike, interfere with or abuse them in any way; no excuse whatsoever will be accepted for a breach of this rule. All complaints against hostel servants should be brought to the notice of the warden, who will investigate.
  • A student who is resident for the part of any month shall be charged rent for the whole month.
  • The residents will not argue abuse or misbehave with the mess-contractor or vice-versa. Complaints if any should be brought to the notice of warden immediately.
  • Residents are required to write their names as well as the provisional date of their return on the Register before going out of station.

Note: Fees once paid shall not be refundable under any circumstances.

Girls Hostel

Hostel Rules for Girls:

  • The Parents will write to Principal at the time of Hostel admission, the names of relations who would visit the women resident and vice-versa. The relationship of such persons should be specifically mentioned. The warden will have the sole right to allow any visitor/student. Parents must provide the full address of the relatives whom thee hosteler can visit during short holidays.
  • No resident of the Hostel will be absent from the hostel without the written permission of the Warden/Superintendent Resident wishing to visit friends/relatives allowed by the parents, even on holidays, shall obtain the written permission of the warden. If this rule is not observed by the hosteler, the consequences and responsibility is entirely of the parents.
  • Resident wishing to absent themselves from the hostel after 9:00 PM. during the winter and Summer months except on duty shall obtain a permit from the warden, shall sign a Register kept by the Warden, starting where they will be going and they shall be back in the hostel by the time mentioned in the permit. Permit to leave the hostel may ordinarily be obtained from the warden/superintendent between 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
  • Male visitors shall not be allowed in any resident’s room.
  • All lights and fans must be switched off when leaving the rooms, otherwise a fine as recommended by the Hostel Supdt. will be charged each time. No electric stoves, room heaters or electrical appliances etc. of heavy electric consumption will be allowed.
  • No Hostel servant may be disciplined by any student nor any servant be sent on errand without the permission of the warden complaint should be made to the Warden, when necessary
  • Illness must be reported to the warden by the student concerned at once.
  • Any question not covered by these rules shall be decided by the Principal.
  • Every student, before admission to hostel, shall give an undertaking that she shall not keep any unauthorized person in her room and that if she is found keeping such a person without prior permission of the Hostel Supdt. /Warden, she shall be liable summary expulsion.
  • The women resident, who wants to go home for any reason, should first obtain Principals permission and on the basis of that they will seek the warden’s permission to leave the hostel failing which the entire responsibility will be of the student or parent concerned.

Note: No male student will be permitted in the girl’s hostel with any excuse including Holi celebration.
