Panchkarma

Panchakarma which is one of the most famous detoxification process of Ayurveda, restoring youth with the help of medicated oils. This special treatment of medicated oil massage and herbal remedies was prescribed in ancient Vedic scripture, and has been practiced in Kerala for many centuries, in accordance with the great works of the ‘Charaka Samhita’. Panchakarma and Shirodhara are the leading therapies in Indian Ayurveda; considering the level of transformative detoxification they provide, it is not difficult to understand why. Panchakarma includes five natural methods of purgation or elimination, giving the body an intensively detoxifying the body, while balancing the three doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy, also referred to as physical therapy, is an allied health profession that makes use of bio – mechanics or kinesiology, manual therapy, exercise therapy and electrotherapy, to help patients restore, maintain and increase their physical mobility, strength and function. Physiotherapists are better able to help patients regain mobility, as they have a better understanding of how the body works and are trained in clinical skills to assess, diagnose and treat disabilities. Physiotherapists can help patients recover from injuries and disabilities ranging from back pain, neck pain, knees pain to ligament issues. Physiotherapy also helps in the rehabilitation of patients suffering from Parkinson’s, Paralysis, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis and Cerebral Palsy.

Yoga

Yoga poses are great to strengthen and relax the body, however there's a lot more to Yoga than that. Derived from the Sankrit word ‘yuj’ which means ‘to unite or integrate’, yoga is a 5,000-year-old Indian body of knowledge. Yoga is all about harmonizing the body with the mind and breath through the means of various breathing exercises, yoga poses (asanas) and meditation.

Herbal Garden

Pharmacy and Ayurveda course requires the students to learn and practice exploration of drugs from various origins including the plant kingdom. Keeping in view this requirement, our institute has set up a Medicinal Plant Garden comprising of different varieties of easily cultivable plants and herbs. The herbal garden has about 100-120 different medicinal and aromatic plants.
