Interaction of students with pharmaceutical industry is an important part of student development as visiting industry helps them to visualise that how the theoretical knowledge of pharmacy is applied to the industry to develop, manufacture and test drugs. To bridge the gap between theoretical and industrial knowledge an industrial tour to Therachem Research medilab Pvt. Ltd., Jaipur was organised on 26^Th March 2019.

Therachem is a full-service contract-based organization that offers quality solutions to support drug discovery & development and large-scale synthesis. They support early-stage and late-stage drug development through their broad-based research solutions. Therachem’s Jaipur facility is technologically well-equipped and well-staffed with expert professionals to provide high-value and timely solutions for pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical companies.

The students of B.pharmacy 3^rd and 4^th year took part in the event. On reaching the industry the students were welcomed by the staff. The students were offered Tea with snacks.

The students were divided into two batches to efficiently visualize and learn about the various instruments used in pharmaceutical reaserach. The students were allowed to take a tour of their Q C labs which housed instruments like:

• NMR- 300 MHz
• Gas chromatography
• LC/MS (Liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry)
• HPLCs
• UPHPLC (ultra high performance liquid chromatography)
• Flash chromatography columns up to 25 Kg silica gel capacity
• FTIR (Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy)

The students were given knowledge about the principle and working of these instruments. The visit was very informative and knowledgeable for the students.
